Scholarship Test for Class 10: FKGS ACHIEVE for Classes 3–12 – Future Kids Global School, Rajahmundry

Parents in Rajahmundry and Kakinada often look for a scholarship test for Class 10, or for younger children, to see where their child stands outside their own school's exams. A scholarship-cum-aptitude test does exactly that. It measures a child against a wider group and can open the door to a scholarship.

ACHIEVE is the test run by Future Kids Global School. This guide explains who can write it, what is tested in each class, how the paper works, and how to prepare without stress.

QUICK ANSWER

ACHIEVE is Future Kids Global School's scholarship-cum-aptitude test for students of Classes 3 to 12 from any board. It is a two-hour, paper-based multiple-choice test covering English, Maths, Science and Logical Reasoning, with subjects changing by class. Dates for the next edition are announced by the school, so call admissions to register.

AT A GLANCE

  • Open to students of Classes 3–12 from all boards: ICSE, CBSE, State Board and others.

  • Paper-based, multiple-choice questions, in a two-hour slot (10 am to 12 noon in past editions).

  • Subjects depend on class; Logical Reasoning is part of every paper.

  • The registration fee was Rs 100 for the November 2024 edition. Confirm the current fee and dates with admissions.

What is a scholarship-cum-aptitude test?

A scholarship test rewards students who do well, usually with support towards school fees. An aptitude test checks how well a child thinks, not only what they have memorised. A scholarship-cum-aptitude test combines both.

For parents, the real value is the feedback. A child who scores 95% in school tests may find a reasoning paper much harder. That tells you where to focus before Class 10 boards or entrance exams, while there is still time.

Who can write ACHIEVE? Subjects by class, including the scholarship test for Class 10

ACHIEVE is open to students of Classes 3 to 12, and they do not need to study at FKGS or in an ICSE school. The subjects tested change as children move up. This is the pattern from the school's published details:

Class

Subjects tested

Classes 3–7

English, Maths, Science, Logical Reasoning

Classes 8–9

English, Maths, Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), Logical Reasoning

Class 10 – MPC / BiPC track

English, Maths or Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Logical Reasoning

Class 10 – MEC / MHEP track

English, Maths, General Knowledge, Logical Reasoning

For Classes 11 and 12, and for any change in the pattern, please confirm the subjects with the admissions office before you start preparing. If your child is choosing a stream after Class 10, our guide to ISC streams: MPC, BiPC, MEC and MHEP will help.

How the ACHIEVE paper works

The test is paper-based with multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Students mark one answer from the options given. In past editions it ran in a single two-hour slot from 10 am to 12 noon.

Many younger children have never written an MCQ paper with an answer sheet. A short practice at home helps a lot. Show them how to read all options before choosing, how to skip and come back, and how to watch the clock.

How to prepare your child in four weeks

ACHIEVE tests what a child already learns at school, plus reasoning. There is no need for coaching. A calm, steady plan works best:

  1. Week 1 – Revise basics. Go through this year's maths and science chapters. Mark the topics your child finds hardest.

  2. Week 2 – Practise reasoning. Do 15–20 minutes daily of number series, odd one out, patterns, analogies and simple puzzles.

  3. Week 3 – Build English. Read one short passage daily and answer questions. Practise grammar, vocabulary and comprehension.

  4. Week 4 – Time yourself. Do two or three timed MCQ practice papers of two hours. Review every wrong answer together.

  5. The day before – Rest. Pack pencils, eraser and admit details. Sleep early. No new topics.

For Class 10 students on the MEC or MHEP track, add 10 minutes of daily newspaper reading for the General Knowledge section. For the MPC or BiPC track, focus on numericals in Physics and Chemistry.

Frequently asked questions

Can a CBSE or State Board student write the FKGS ACHIEVE test?

Yes. ACHIEVE is open to students of all boards from Classes 3 to 12. The questions test English, maths, science and logical reasoning at class level, so a student from any board can prepare from their own textbooks.

When is the next ACHIEVE test?

The next edition's date has not been published yet. Call the FKGS admissions office on 0883-2466699 or +91 94924 27799 to ask for the date and registration details. Office hours are Monday to Friday 8 am–6 pm and Saturday 9 am–6 pm.

What is the fee for the ACHIEVE scholarship test?

The registration fee was Rs 100 for the November 2024 edition. The fee for future editions may change, so please confirm it with the FKGS admissions office when you register.

How much scholarship can my child get through ACHIEVE?

Scholarship amounts and rules are decided by the school for each edition and have not been published here. Please ask the FKGS admissions office how scores translate into scholarships for the class your child is applying to.

Does my child need coaching for a scholarship test?

No. A scholarship-cum-aptitude test checks school-level knowledge and reasoning. Four weeks of steady revision, daily reasoning practice and two or three timed MCQ papers at home are enough for most children.

Is there a scholarship test for NEET aspirants?

ACHIEVE is a school scholarship-cum-aptitude test, not a NEET exam. It covers Classes 3–12, and Class 10 students heading for BiPC write a paper in English, Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Logical Reasoning. Ask the FKGS admissions office how scholarships apply to the Medicus NEET Plus programme.
